President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the people who gathered against the coup attempt in Kısıklı. Erdoğan stated that the coup attempt of FETO member soldiers was prevented by virtue of the people taking to the public squares, and said, “Thank God, this attempt did not result as they expected. Because we believed in this: There is a destiny above destiny. The righteous is the strong one, not the other way around”. The President addressed the USA and requested Fetullah Gülen, the leader of FETO to be extradited. The President responded to the frequent “we want death penalty” expressions of the citizens when they are shouting slogans against the coup plotters as, “Evaluation of every demand is a right in democratic countries. These are evaluated under the roof of the parliament”.
